BEST SOCAL LUXURY SWIMWEAR

We’re so excited to debut our new collection and would like to recognize our compeers and neighbors by highlighting what we think are the Best SoCal luxury swimwear boutiques. From local landmarks to brand new upstarts, from single stores to multiple locations, we hope you’ll plan a visit and help these businesses as we come out of isolation and back to civilization..

The Beverly Hills Bikini Shop is a SoCal landmark. The iconic boutique has been the place to shop luxury swimwear since 1966. They have a great selection of suits - for pool, resort, vaca and surf -- sarongs, t-shirts, thongs and beach bags. We love the Jordan Taylor Pull On Pant in black or white and their collection of vintage rock and roll t-shirts. The tees would look super cute thrown over our Atlantis suit as you stop to fuel up on the way to the beach.

Diane’s Beachwear Even older than The Beverly Hills Bikini shop but still looking fabulous is Diane’s Beachwear. The first boutique opened in Manhattan Beach in 1962, right around the time Annette Funacello and Frankie Avalon brought SoCal to the rest of the world with their Beach Blanket movies. Diane’s carries an impressive array of luxury brands and trends including neon, boho, tye die, animal prints and florals. There are 18  locations all over SoCal including Calabasas, Santa Monica, Manhattan Beach, Palm Springs, La Jolla, Huntington Beach and San Diego, among others.

Canyon Beachwear With regulars like Kim Kardashian and Madonna, Canyon Beachwear is a premier boutique that features one of the largest year-round designer suits from over 50 manufacturers. Canyon beachwear opened its first store in Santa Monica in 1979 and has seven locations in New York and California. You can find her SoCal stores in Santa Monica, Studio City and Palm Springs. Their slogan “ We Suit Every Body” is the cornerstone of their company.

Body and Sol Swimwear has been an anchor in the San Fernando Valley since 1980. The mother-daughter owned boutique is known as the swimwear specialists with experience in both the manufacturing and retail of designer swimwear. They carry a  large inventory of all different styles; Brazilian, full coverage, one pieces, and coverups, and also specialize in larger cup sizes, making  luxury swimwear accessible to all.

Best Swimwear in Hermosa Beach has gone through several changes over the course of their 25-years in business. Originally known as Beachy Keen, a strictly swimwear shop a block from the beach, they slowly started adding sandals and clothing and even menswear. When the opportunity came to buy the domain Bestswimwear, they took it and went back to their roots and began a healthy nationwide online business. But the storefront remains and you can still pop in next time you’re in their neck of the coast. They pride themselves on making every woman welcome no matter age, size, or shape, fitting you in a look that not only gives you confidence, but also makes all the boys and girls go “ooh la la.”

Tiki Girl is a cute little boutique located on Main Street in downtown Ventura. They offer a “curated mix of California lifestyle goods.” Their clothing is trendy California girl all the way, and they also carry jewelry, beauty items, gifts, home decor and a carefully selected collection of designer swimwear. Because this is SoCal after all, and you can’t have too many bathing suits.

So next time you’re out running errands or hanging out at the beach, pop into one of these homegrown boutiques and make sure and tell them Bomba Bambola sent you and sends their love.
