OUR PICKS FOR BEST INSTAGRAMMABLE POOLS
As much as I love my own pool, I’m looking forward to getting out and showing off my hot new bathing suit and hype accessories now that cities open. A lot of the pools we picked are close to home, with the exception of Miami and the Bahamas, so keep an eye out for future posts on best pools around the world. Grab your phone or pro-camera, your bestie and photographer, here are our picks for the best Instagrammable pools we can’t wait to dive into.
Montage, Laguna Beach
The centerpiece of this lux beachside resort is the beautiful mosaic pool, so named for the glistening tiles forming a half sunburst that looks as if it’s going to launch into the ocean itself. Poolside cabanas come with a dedicated cabana host and server.
The Coliseum Pool at the Resort at Pelican Hill, Newport Beach
One of the largest, perfectly circular, saltwater pools in the world was inspired by Rome’s famed landmark. It features vaulted arches, columns, and an amphitheater of terraced decks. As if that wasn’t enough, the jewel in this crown is the bottom, made up of 1.1. million hand cut mosaic tiles. Picture yourself floating in the middle and get the perfect center shot for Instagram. Oh, did we mention the private cabanas that feature Bose speakers, 30-inch flat screen HD TV and mini refrigerators? Another reason why this is one of our top picks.
Monarch Beach Resort, Dana Point
This outdoor oasis has an adults-only pool in addition to a family pool, plus two infinity-edge hot tubs that seamlessly spill into the stunning seascape. Private cabanas with built-in music and stocked outdoor mini-bars and daybeds round out the multi-level design of this pool area, with the second tier dedicated to sunning, lounging and ‘gramming. Yes please!
The Saguaro, Palm Springs
The most colorful hotel with the biggest pool in Palm Springs, The Saguaro also has great DJs, pool parties and moonlit concerts. A quick getaway for a day or weekend, this will light up any Instagram, and it’s just a quick zip away on the 10.
Bellagio, Las Vegas
Ah the Bellagio, a Vegas classic bringing the Mediterranean to the Southwest. With five pools each within their own courtyard settings, private cabanas that rival some apartments and the stunning motifs of the pool bottoms, you’ll have plenty of photo ops, making it one of our picks for best Instagram settings.
Las Ventanas al Paraiso, Cabo San Lucas
This resort is one of our favorite getaway spots and features eight pools, but these two are the best of the bunch.
The Oasis Pool and Lazy River
A 5,000 square foot infinity pool featuring the first ever lazy river with a swim up bar, a resident DJ and underwater speakers so you don’t miss a beat. (See what we did there?) Once inside the grotto-like tunnel you’ll experience an all-encompassing sensory odyssey with music and colorful works of art. Relax, linger and get your best pics yet. Oh and don’t forget to soak in the hot tub while you’re there.
The Main Pool
With stunning views of the sea, the resort’s main pool is located at the water’s edge. The winding curves of this beautiful infinity pool also boasts a swim up bar. Grab a fruity drink and get a pic of you looking like you’re floating off into the sea.
Hotel Fontainebleau, Miami
This legendary pool was the playground for Sinatra and the Rat Pack and most recently the setting for season three of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. It’s also the place to be during Art Basel, so grab your le Chapeau Bomba and Valentino shades and you’re Insta ready.
The Atlantis Hotel, Bahamas
We could easily do an entire post about the pools at the legendary Atlantis, with its iconic towers in the world-famous water park. Located on a strip between two beaches, the waterpark has 20 swimming areas, 11 pools, a lazy river, tubes that shoot you underwater surrounded by sharks, and a mile-long river ride with big wave surges. You’ll need to set aside a week to take advantage of all the shots for the ‘gram. Better pack some extra bathing suits for this one!
The Grotto Pool deepens gradually as if you’re walking into the ocean. Quaint and relaxing.
The Cove is adults only with cabanas designed by Lulu DK, luxury home and jewelry brand.
The Coral is the newest pool with everyone’s favorite, a swim up bar.
Cascades is a family friendly pool with easy access to the beach
Wi-Ki-Woo, Ibiza
Ok ok, we said we were staying close to home, but Spain is serving us some serious eye candy. With pink inflatable pool toys and their signature upside down question mark, the Wi-Ki-Woo was specifically designed with Instagram in mind. Located on the iconic Sunset Strip in San Antonio, the pink and green theme and modern art deco vibe will make you feel like you’re living in an Instagram filter. This boutique marvel re-opened last year so there’s still time to be one of the first to blow up your ‘gram.
